Things to Do

Clapham Junction and the rest of  Battersea offer a wide range of fun days out, shopping streets and markets, eateries and entertainment, as well as great places to visit in the local area.

The iconic Arding & Hobbs building housing Debenhams (visible from the trains) sits on the corner of St John’s Road – the main shopping street, which is lined with many wonderful independent and well known retail stores. Northcote Road Market is open from Thursday to Saturday – Battersea High Street market is open on Saturdays.

Going Out

There are pubs, clubs, bars and restaurants in all corners of Battersea. From pizza to sushi, Mediterranean or classic English pub grub, you can find many great places to eat to suit all tastes and budgets. Finish the night with cocktails or at a romantic wine bar, or go all out at a club and book a late night taxi home!

Battersea Arts Centre

Our much-loved theatre: Battersea Arts Centre, is famous across London and beyond, and is one of many attractions which call Battersea “home”. As well as hosting a huge range of shows and installations, The BAC runs popular programs for children and young people. The Centre is also home to Scratch bar, which won Best Theatre Bar in SW London: 2014, 2015 and 2016 and is housed in Battersea Arts Centre’s iconic Grade II* Listed building on Lavender Hill.
